About the Course:
This one-week course is designed for individuals who are new to frontend development and want to learn the basics of building user interfaces. Over the course of five days, you will gain an understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the three core technologies used in frontend development.
In addition to learning the fundamentals, you will also be guided through the creation of two short projects. By the end of the course, you will have a basic understanding of how to build a static website and a simple web application, and be ready to pursue further frontend development learning.
What You Need for the Course:
To complete this course, you will need a computer with an internet connection and a modern web browser. Familiarity with basic computer skills such as file management and using a text editor will be helpful but not required.
Day 1: Introduction to HTML
Introduction to HTML and its basic syntax
Creating a basic HTML document
Adding headings, paragraphs, and lists
Creating links and images
Day 2: Introduction to CSS
Introduction to CSS and its basic syntax
Selecting HTML elements to apply styles to
Using CSS to style text, color, and backgrounds
Working with layout and positioning
Day 3: Intermediate HTML and CSS
Creating tables and forms in HTML
Using CSS to style tables and forms
Introduction to CSS Flexbox
Day 4: Introduction to JavaScript
Introduction to JavaScript and its basic syntax
Writing JavaScript in a web page
Working with variables, data types, and operators
Using conditions and loops
Day 5: Building Projects
Building a static website using HTML and CSS
Building a simple web application using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Deploying your projects to the web (optional)
At the end of the course, you will have the basic knowledge required to build simple frontend applications, and have built two projects to practice these skills.
